Lit Webinar: Inside the Mind of Edgar Allan Poe

Inside the Mind of Edgar Allan Poe

Poe was a brilliant, misunderstood, arrogant and tortured man who was known, only posthumously, as one of the most creative minds of his time. Praised world-wide as the creator of the detective style story, his short fiction also delves into the complex workings of the human mind.

In this first Lit Webinar of 2022, we will read the following three stories (links below) and discuss them together after some context and background provided by the leader. We will set the mood by opening the session with his lyrical poem “Annabel Lee”, inspired by his beloved wife, Virginia Clem.

To sign-up for the event please contact gwendolyndz@gmail.com
and indicate whether you plan to attend in person (a limit of 15) or through Zoom. The meeting will be held in a member’s house in Belgrano, in a large, well-ventilated room open to the garden. Exact details of the location will be provided to those who register to attend in person. The Zoom link for virtual attendees will be sent to those who RSVP that they will be attending virtually.
