“I was alerted to UWC by a neighbor, and before going to the first luncheon, I consulted the website. I was immensely impressed by the variety of activities UWC offers, and by the caliber of its Luncheon speakers and quality of content that emerged from the flyers. I was decided to become a member before I even attended the first luncheon, and that event confirmed my decision, both because of the speaker and in no small manner, because of the women I met and spoke with. I realized that in addition to the stimulating cultural and intellectual mix one usually finds in a metropolis like Buenos Aires, here were many women, both Argentine and immigrant or expat, who were pioneers in their scientific fields or business ventures, and not to speak of the many artists who grace our membership. Needless to say, I haven’t regretted joining UWC and supporting its efforts.”
