Children with Autism and their Families

In his talk Dr Hunter-Watts will address issues such as the different types of autism, detection and diagnosis, treatment and evolution, and the future of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in society.
Dr Hunter-Watts graduated from the Universidad John F. Kennedy in Buenos Aires and obtained a Master’s Degree in Childhood Learning Difficulties from the Universidad de La Habana, Cuba. His doctoral thesis at the Universidad de Palermo was on “Treatment of Self-injurious Behaviors in People with Autism”. Dr Hunter-Watts’ academic credentials also include postgraduate specializations at the John Hopkins - Linwood Children Center, USA and Cambridge University, UK.
He is currently President of San Martin de Porres which is an Argentinian institution composed of 5 schools dedicated to educating autistic children. (For more information, check https://www.porres.edu.ar/ ). He has also participated in many international events and organizations.
