The Girl in the Spider’s Web by David Lagercrantz

The UWC Book Club will meet on Tuesday, October 12th at 3pm. We will be reading “The Girl in the Spider’s Web” by David Lagercrantz. This is a continuation of the Millennium Trilogy by the Swedish writer Steig Larsson, who died in 2004. Lagercrantz recreates the main characters of the original books, super-hacker Lisbeth Salander, and her ally, investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist, as they fight political and corporate corruption in Scandinavia. This book is a fast-paced crime thriller, and for those of you who have read the Larsson books, it will be an interesting comparison of how an author assumes the writing of someone else’s series.
