Inclusive language: Is singular “they” here to stay?

Below is the recording of the presentation:

Our luncheon speaker for the month of October will be Joanna Richardson. Joanna has a B.A. in Spanish, Portuguese & Latin American Literature from King’s College London. Her interest in inclusive language dates from 2017, and she has spoken on this topic at international conferences in Austria, Canada and Buenos Aires. In 2018 the BA Times published her article: Gender-neutral pronouns in English: using the singular ‘they’. Joanna’s work to promote clear, transparent language is aligned with current tendencies in inclusive language.
