Brian May, lead guitarist of the rock band Queen, generously offered his accompaniment on YouTube to Freddy Mercury’s iconic song “Love of my Life”, so that musicians from anywhere in the world could play alongside him. Nestor Tedesco, Director of the Orquesta de los Barrios saw this as a wonderful way to motivate the young musicians during the pandemic and so sent them Brain May’s YouTube video to practise on their instruments at home. Here is the very moving outcome, the result of many hours of rehearsal, hard work and technical savvy on the part of Nestor, with help from his daughter Florencia.
