With the pandemic halting live performances, these virtual concerts help to remind us just how important music is not only in the lives of these young musicians, but in our own lives too. It is our belief in the importance of music beyond the personal level to its emphatic transcendence in society that has guided our endeavours in the UWC’s Community Impact area.

The last virtual concert, held on May 28th at the invitation of the Ateneo Cultural, was a resounding success, attracting a total audience of 150 (Zoom platform plus YouTube). Members of the Ateneo were full of praise for Nestor Tedesco and the young musicians, recognizing the importance of music in their lives and showing their full support. This positive outcome and the interest expressed in the project was confirmed by the Ateneo’s commitment to host a live concert in the auditorium of the Fundación Beethoven as soon as circumstances permit.
