Current Affairs Discussion Group: Remote Work
For many, remote work offers the opportunity to have a good job and a life. But it doesn’t work for everybody and opinions differ among those who have experienced full-time remote working during 2020.
We will be discussing some of the many aspects involved in remote work, the psychological side, the environment, the economy, education and so on. There are significant benefits to be gained from working remotely but also quite a number of downsides to the trend, not least the fact that more than 50% of the workforce would have no or little opportunity for remote work. There’s no escaping the fact that those who have the most to gain from remote work are the highly educated, well-paid members of the workforce.
