Mindfulness: Pause and Prepare

You are invited to an experiential presentation on mindfulness, offered as a brief respite during this time of pandemic and as an opportunity to explore skillful practices which are beneficial in calming the body and mind. Mindfulness is the awareness that develops as we pay attention moment-by-moment, in an intentional way, with compassion and nonjudgment. Liz Power Hawkinson, MSW, LICSW, RYT, a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Instructor for over fifteen years, will be our instructor.


Please dress comfortably for gentle seated movement, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. All practices are optional, and you are always your own best companion and guide. We are often encouraged to “try hard,” but during this presentation, you will be encouraged to “try easy."
