March UWC activities are cancelled.
After much consideration, the UWC Board has decided to cancel the March 17th luncheon and all UWC activities until further notice. We know this will be a disappointment to many of you, but we prefer to be on the safe side.

The opera season at the Colón will open March 17th, yes, the same day of the first luncheon of the year. Opening night will present Verdi's "Nabucco". Elena Levin, our guide through the operatic world, has commitments that prevent her from having the Monday meeting before opening night. She needs to know if there will be sufficient audience to schedule the meeting for Monday March 23rd. Please let me know so everyone reserves the date on their calendar. Meanwhile enjoy the lovely late summer weather.
